Course Description
From daring explorers charting unknown lands to global wars and ideological standoffs that reshaped nations, students will journey through modern world history from the Age of Exploration to today. This class introduces students to great explorers, Enlightenment ideas, Napoleon’s rise and fall, World War I, World War II, and the Cold War—inviting students to step into the ambition, conflict, and transformation that continue to shape our world.
Homework
Homework will consist of reading, answering questions about the reading, fun class interactions, hands-on learning, and other related activities. Time commitment: 90 min to 2 hours a week.
*One project in each semester will be assigned. Materials TBD.
