Course Description
Algebra 2 will equip students with the confidence and knowledge needed to succeed in their future educational endeavors. For some students, Algebra 2 will be the last math course they take in high school, and for others, it will be a required stepping stone for more advanced math.
In Algebra 1 students learned how to model the equation of a line on a coordinate plane. In Algebra 2, students will expand their knowledge to include graphing and solving quadratic, polynomial, trigonometric, conic and other advanced equations.
Homework
Classwork will include guided note-taking, traditional problem solving, critical thinking activities and applied projects. Short quizzes will be taken in class while unit assessments will be completed at home.
Approximate time for homework each week outside of class: 3-4 hours
