Course Description
In this class, students will explore the history and basics of current AI tools, including how they work and how they’re used. Students will learn skills that help them think critically about how to appropriately incorporate AI in their day-to-day lives, write effective prompts, and understand how different fields are implementing AI.
Students will engage in class discussions and activities about what it might look like to use AI in their future educational and workforce careers, as well as what values, perspectives, and ethics it takes to be a young person using AI today. Students can expect to think deeply about their own values and develop a personal "AI philosophy" that can guide them into college and the workforce.
The class will culminate in a reflective project describing how the student’s opinion has changed or been reinforced throughout the course.
