Course Description
"Isaac Newton believed that all knowledge- including knowledge of nature- was, in the end, knowledge of God." Mitch Stokes. Physical Science is a high school-level lab science but may be taken in 8th-grade for students who are ready to learn abstract concepts that require higher-level thinking. Students will learn introductory concepts from a range of experimental sciences. Each week students are assigned activity pages to complete using one or more of the required class books. In class, they will conduct experiments, and work through integrated math principles, as well as content from the current topic. Throughout the course, we will highlight evidence for creation and a Creator. Quizzes and tests will be given in class.
Homework
Classwork will include guided note-taking, group discussion, hands-on activities, labs, and quizzes. Students will complete reading assignments and activity pages each week at home, with one or two projects each semester.
Approx. Homework: 2-3 hrs/week
