Course Description
This course introduces middle-schoolers to the primary structure and themes of the Bible. Students will briefly study each book in scripture, identify and locate key biblical figures and events, and memorize verses. The course is designed to help students have a better knowledge of the books of the Old and New Testaments and the stories they contain. The overall emphasis is on equipping students with the confidence to understand scripture on their own for years to come.

Classwork / Homework
During class each week, students will take notes, participate in class discussions, and work on group activities. Students will be expected to memorize two verses each month and complete weekly homework assignments. Weekly homework assignments will be in their textbook and on Google Classroom. Students will receive a participation grade for this class.
