Course Description
This class is designed to help juniors and seniors find the best college "fit" while providing structure, support and accountability in the admissions process. Priority enrollment will be given to seniors.
Students will participate in individual exploration projects, engage in regular conversations with parents, create a working college research spreadsheet, and learn how to look beyond the brochure to discover the place where they have the potential to thrive. Students will learn how to complete all components of college applications to yield the most favorable results.
Among other topics, there will be instruction on writing the most compelling essays, completing all components of the Common App, and understanding financial aid/ scholarships.
Homework
Students will be expected to work 1-2 hours per week outside of class.
