  • Course Description

What are YOU passionate about? What do YOU want to learn, create, or solve?

In Genius Hour, you’re in charge of your learning. Each week, you’ll get dedicated time to explore a topic of your choice—anything from building a robot, writing a book, designing a video game, researching animal behavior, creating a business plan, solving a problem in your community, the skies the limit.

You’ll ask big questions, have “idea storms” with the class, do independent research, create something original, and share your discoveries with the class in a final showcase second semester. Along the way, you’ll learn valuable skills like critical thinking, project planning, creative problem-solving, and how to turn your curiosity into action.

There are only three rules:

  1. Your project must be driven by a question you’re genuinely curious about.

  2. You must create something related to the topic of your choice and present what you have learned.

  3. You must come to class with an attitude of fun, curiosity, and know that there are no bad ideas, just ideas to be discovered.

Ready to take charge and become a creative thinker and doer? This is your chance to shine and show what you're passionate about!
