Course Description
This class is designed to be taken in both 5th & and 6th grade. With all new novels and writing assignments, all work is built with 6th-grade options and even a different book for grammar with teacher approval.
The focus of this course will be to develop a well-honed grasp of grammar through repetition and varied learning techniques. We will begin to learn the basics of well-written paragraphs and beginning essays and add to those skills in a foundational manner, preparing them for advanced language arts and beyond. We will seek to inspire great creative writing through reading rich literature, and learn critical thinking skills and reading comprehension. No previous knowledge of grammar concepts is necessary.

Literature books will be written in. Please purchase a personal copy.

Winston Grammar: *Please select the correct grammar supplies based on your student's grade and experience with TCC. See requirements in the supplies section.
