Course Description
Math Toolbox is a great enrichment to your math curriculum.
This course will help students solidify basic math concepts before moving on to more complex skills.
Students will further their understanding of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Throughout the year, we will continue to build on these four basic operations and practice with decimals, fractions and more.
In addition to computation, students will learn valuable "tools" needed to build a strong foundation of number sense. They'll learn to think critically about math concepts through vibrant class discussions and group work, and engage in thought provoking problem solving skills that will be beneficial across all academic disciplines.
Students must be in 4th grade but any age is accepted if foundational math skills need reinforcement. However, students are expected to have a mastery of simple math facts prior to enrollment.
If you have questions about the readiness of your child, please contact the instructor.
